The guided tour of Sansepolcro with Cortona Tourist Guide starts from the exterior of the house where Piero della Francesca was born and continues towards the lovely square embellished by Palazzo Pretorio, Palazzo delle Laudi and the Town Museum, where some of the most beautiful paintings by Piero della Francesca are on display.

The tour continues with a visit of the Cathedral of Sansepolcro, dedicated to Saint John the Evangelist, which originally was a Camaldolese abbey and today is a magnificent example of Romanesque and Gothic religious building.

The itinerary of this guided tour continues with a visit to the Gothic Church of San Francesco, which is decorated with important works of art made by the Biturgense school and with a visit to the historic Piazza della Torre di Berta: the famous Palio della Balestra, a crossbow challenge where people wear costumes inspired by Piero della Francesca's paintings, is held here on the second Sunday of September.

The last monument to visit is the Church of San Lorenzo, where a spectacular Deposition by Rosso Fiorentino, one of the greatest artists representing the Florentine Mannerism, is displayed.
